Work where production is the product.
We're building a team of senior DevOps engineers who live in production code, want to work with smart founders, and care about engineering culture as much as engineering output.
The kind of place we're building
Senior-only team
Every engineer here has shipped to production for years. No hand-holding, no diluted standards. You'll work with people who can review your PR at the level you need.
Real ownership
You own engagements end-to-end. From scoping with the client, to the architecture decisions, to the post-mortems. No layers of middle management between you and the work.
Remote, async-first
Work from wherever you do your best thinking. Most coordination happens in writing - proposals, ADRs, code review. Synchronous meetings only when they earn their keep.
Competitive comp
Top-of-market salaries for the seniority we expect. Performance-based bonuses tied to engagement outcomes, not internal politics.
Engineering culture
Blameless post-mortems, documentation as a first-class artifact, and an explicit norm that nobody pages anybody outside their on-call window.
Stay sharp
Conference and learning budget. Internal tech talks. Direct exposure to many stacks across many clients - you'll see more production systems in a year than most engineers see in five.
Operating principles
The non-negotiables. If any of these sound wrong to you, this won't be a fit - and we'd rather you know that before the first interview.
Decisions are documented before they're made. Most days don't include a scheduled meeting. You control your calendar.
We write proposals, ADRs, post-mortems, and handover docs. If you find writing painful, this won't be a fit.
We don't track time. We track what shipped, what improved, and what the client felt.
Mistakes are systems problems. Post-mortems focus on what to change, never on who to blame.
Who we're hiring
Don't see your exact title? If your experience is adjacent and you'd be excited about the work, send us a note. We hire for the work, not the title on the JD.
Senior DevOps Engineer
EngagementsRemote
Senior DevOps Engineer
Lead client engagements from kickoff to handoff. You'll work across cloud providers, container platforms, and CI/CD systems - and you'll be the senior voice in the room when architectural trade-offs need to be named.
- Own technical scope and delivery on 1–2 concurrent client engagements
- Design and implement cloud + Kubernetes architectures in production
- Code-review and pair with client engineering teams
- Author runbooks, ADRs, and post-engagement handover docs
- Participate in on-call rotations for active engagement clients
- 5+ years building and operating production systems
- Strong fluency in at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Production Kubernetes experience beyond hello-world
- Comfortable writing prose - proposals, runbooks, post-mortems
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
EngagementsRemote
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Focus on the reliability side of the engagement portfolio. SLOs, observability, incident response, capacity planning - and the tooling that makes all of it sustainable for the client team after we hand off.
- Define SLIs / SLOs in partnership with client product teams
- Roll out OpenTelemetry, dashboards-as-code, burn-rate alerting
- Lead post-mortems and drive systemic fixes
- Coach client SRE / DevOps teams on operational maturity
- Real production SRE experience - not just monitoring setup
- Strong opinions about observability that you can defend
- Comfort with high-pressure incident response
Platform Engineer
EngagementsRemote
Platform Engineer
Build internal developer platforms for client engineering orgs. Backstage, golden paths, self-service provisioning - turn ops into a product the rest of the company uses.
- Scope and ship IDPs (Backstage, Port, or equivalent) for clients
- Design golden-path templates for common service types
- Build Crossplane / Terraform-backed self-service flows
- Run user research with client engineers to validate what we're building
- You've built platforms that engineers actually used
- Comfortable thinking like a product manager when it comes to internal tooling
- Familiar with developer-experience metrics
AI / MLOps Engineer
EngagementsRemote
AI / MLOps Engineer
Lead our Agentic AI and MLOps engagements. From scoping safe LLM-agent use cases to operating model serving infrastructure at scale - you'll be the technical lead on the ops side of AI.
- Design and ship LLM-agent systems with scoped permissions and audit logging
- Build training and serving pipelines (Kubeflow, SageMaker, KServe)
- Set up drift / quality monitoring for production models
- Coach client teams on responsible agent deployment
- Production ML or LLM-agent experience - not just notebooks
- Comfortable with both the ops side and the model side
- Healthy skepticism about AI hype
